Watts goin' on

Whilst in California we visited Watts Towers which is a kind of folk art version of La Sagrada Familia by Antonio Gaudi. The towers were created by Italian migrant Sam Rodia between 1921 and 1956. It's in an infamous part of LA.(fresh out of Compton ) I kept expecting to see a drive-by shooting or at least hear some Public Enemy blasting out of a Hummer. Anyway hidden in the shadows, in amongst the sea shells and tiles, I spotted of all things, the ubiquitous Willow Pattern.

Current Listening: Luckiest Man Alive, Stephen Cummings.
