Maria Parmenter makes unnervingly hermetic 'domestic' ceramics.She is having an exhibition of these un-functional "tokens" from 24 July - 14 August at Hill Smith Gallery, Adelaide.The work is full of references to function /use such as handles and spouts but these appendages are truncated and all openings are sealed off. Every home should have one !
