Don was my design teacher a long time ago when I was failing a jewellery-making course.He became somewhat of a mentor and made me realise that I could actually make things. He also instilled in me some kind of notion about conceptual rigour.He has been an ever present influence on me and on many students,and as Morrissey said on the topic :"having influence? Well... it's better than having... acne."
