Ornamental as anything.

Big Bruce Nuske was a pivotal potter in  late 70's Australian ceramics. Amidst a group of luminaries shirking the Leach/Moon axis, Bruce's rococo aesthetic set him apart from the crop. With an enviable facility with the medium and drawing skills to match he produced works ranging from a kind of Antipodean Meissen to an Australian Oribe.

He has lately had somewhat of a Renaissance after many years of lecturing in painting, drawing and ceramics. He has a show opening tonight in Adelaide at BMG.He has also at different times sported facial hair of an extravagance that would make George Ohr blush in envy.
