Here are some portraits I did of of famous surfers for the Surfing World Magazine's ,Worthy's competition.They are ceramic tiles decorated in the sgraffito (scratch-through )technique. The one of Isabel Letham (the elderly woman who was one of the first Australians ever to ride a surfboard) made it to the final cut.The other two are of Derek Hynd (bottom) and Pauline Menczer. (top)
