Don't get me wrong, I love Tim Burton! But largely he's all style,not a whole lot of substance. I was worried when I heard he was doing the 'Alice' thing.It seems my fears were well founded. If you are interested on a more 'realistic' take on Lewis Carrol's creation then check out Dreamchild. Sure ,some of it is saccharine but the interweaving of the real and unreal is marvellous.
